Royall Commits to Rice University

2016-06-22 Randall in UniformWe are (so) proud to announce that Randall Royall, son to Executive Vice President Ro Royall, has verbally committed to Rice University!

This has special meaning to us as Randall’s Great Uncle (Roy Royall), brother to our founder, Bob Royall (1928-2015) played RB/DB for the Owls in 1934-1936.

Randall is a senior at Stratford High School graduating in 2017 and is a Middle Linebacker for the Spartans.  Check out his game highlights here.

George Springer’s All Star Bowling for SAY.ORG

2016-06 George Springer with say.org kidsBEB was in full force for the 2nd annual George Springer’s All Star Bowling Event benefiting SAY.ORG (Stuttering Association for the Young).  All proceeds go to CAMP SAY, a life-changing summer camp for kids & teens who stutter.

2016-06-02 kathy and joy in Houston Style MagazineThis all star event was held at Lucky Strike in downtown Houston and raised over $40K.  It was a great way to raise money for an excellent cause and a chance to see a lot of “Who is Who” of Houston.

Welcome Nina Cannady!  Nina recently moved back to Houston after living in Anchorage, Alaska.  A graduate of Benny Benson Secondary School, Nina studied accounting at the University of Alaska-Anchorage.  Nina has three sons, Maties (12), Jaiquin (5), and    Lamont (2).

Nina handles A/R and other accounting functions as well as managing the day-to-day office happenings.  Welcome to the family Nina!

Epicomm-SW Conference

Helsley Lifetime Achievement Award WinnersRon, Ro, and Joy Z attended the 2016 Epicomm-SW Conference in The Woodlands from April 29th – May 1st.

Ron and Joy Z are currently serving on the board of this  industry association dedicated to the direct mail, printing and fulfillment industries.

This 3-day conference attracts companies from all over Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas and Oklahoma.  Speakers from across the country reviewed the latest happenings within the United States Postal Service, new marketing trends and cyber security.  Our Joy Z presented JackThe Winning Chili Cook-off Team Gressett of Admail with this year’s Helsley Family Award and our Ron was on the winning team for the first ever Epicomm-SW Chili Cook-off.  Ro’s team won for best presentation!

The President of Epicomm national quoted our January newsletter during a lecture and highlighted BEB as a progressive and growing multi-channel marketing company.

Robert “Bob” Royall was one of the original founders of the 50-year strong industry organization, and was a previous president.  Our Ron served as president of the SW Chapter in 2013.

Learn how direct mail has become a digital driving machine with a long shelf life.  The printed piece has become interactive with QR Codes and Augmented Reality and tracking results is easier than ever before.

The last class is about organic Search Engine optimization (SEO).   Our partners at Siteboxpro, a local leader in SEO and web marketing, will conduct this class.  Learn about the process of organically improving the visibility of your website in search engine results.

Our guest lecturers will review the parts that make up a search engine result.  They’ll show you ways to take advantage of local searches using free services like Yelp or Google maps.  We’ll discuss target-paid listings, budgets, and learn about different kinds of searches.

BEB WINS HONORABLE MENTION for Video

HERMES CREATIVE AWARDWe are proud to announce that BEB-Business Extension Bureau has been awarded an Honorable Mention Certificate in this year’s HERMES Creative Awards by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP) for our video, #ShowMeRank.

2016-04-08 HERMES HONORABLE MENTION SHOWMERANK CONTEST VIDEOThe video was created to promote a contest for our client, RANKRODEO.COM.  RANKRODEO sells rodeo themed T-Shirts online and through mobile store fronts that travel to different rodeos throughout the United States and Australia.  Social media is a major factor in their marketing strategy and branding.  The contest was a search for a model to take part in the semi-annual photo shoot held in Texas.   We encouraged their social media audience to upload pictures of themselves wearing the brand and to post using the hashtag #ShowMeRank.  The hashtag was used over 14K times and the video was viewed over 3,700 times in the first 90-days of its release.

The Hermes Creative Awards received over 6,000 entries worldwide this year and we are proud to have been recognized by the AMCP.  The AMCP is an international organization consisting of several thousand marketing, communication, advertising, public relations, media production and free-lance professionals.

BEB and the NCAA Final Four 4 Mile Run

Team BEB ran in the 2016 NCAA Final Four 4 Miler event on Saturday, April 2nd.

A record breaking attendance of over 2,500 runners ran the streets of downtown and paid tribute to our city’s Veterans.  Proceeds from this event benefited the Lone Star Veterans Association.

A great time was had by all and our ladies finished strong!
